Sharepoint 2010

Currently im running the beta verison of Sharepoint 2010 on my home server. To test out and improve my knowledge and skills in sharepoint. But anyways, when I have users access my sharepoint site over the internet. How do I configure it so that they don't have to enter a username and password to access the site? I just want people who access my site over the internet to have read access.

No ID/passwd = publicly available - this is what you want?

If so, you can make the security setting to be anonymous access I believe - for the page you want specifically.

It should under Site settings link --> Advanced permissions --> Settings --> Anonymous access

But there are other considerations depending on specific version such as:

Security - many things that you may not want publicly available can be compromised.
Network infrastructure - prob have use a DMZ port for public access to work properly depending...
License for external connector on Sharepoint is needed.
Setup of any secured sub-sites/menus within the public page if necessary.

Can't remember exactly but that's what I recall off-hand...

just curious, why do you say it sucks? i know it is a huge pain to set up but after that it seems to be good.
