If you nee NTFS male sure that it can deal with it.

Most Entry level NAS' do not write NTFS.

In addition look for info on the actual Transfer rate, the Data Sheet rating of the network speed does not reflect the actual transfer.

I can not point you to any spepcific NAS since I gave up and ended using an old computers (P-III 1GHz) as a file and printer servers.

One using Windows 2000 as the OS and the other with Windows Home server.

yes this one from Linksys does support NTFS from what it says. (write and read)

that's what i'm using now and old computer as a network share, but it is kinda huge and bulky, and the noise, etc..

so i'm looking for something smaller and quiet

i've check the other links, and the Dlink one looks like a Toaster oven, seems like all of those other ones, can only READ NTFS, and not write.


... bleh, after reading the reviews, although a great product, it sucks at performance.

I think i'll wait for something better
