But you're not a pro athlete making millions a year. If he has a bad wrist, I can accept that, but for the money he makes, he should be practicing day and night to improve himself in that aspect. Look at Larry Bird, he was always up near 90%, and that came from desire to be the best. Granted he was a forward and not a center, but imo Shaq should be at worst 70-75%.

exactly. he shoots thousands of free throws in practice and nails a lot more of them than he does when it counts. that's why hack-a-shaq is such a good strategy.

Hack-a-Shaq is a horrible strategy that I've rarely seen work. That's why most coaches don't use it. Especially this year that Shaq is shooting 60%.

That's just cuz you aint playing with Tap-Masta-Sam :)

Also...to the guy earlier who said he can shoot a mini ball as well as a real basketball...we're talking about 15+ feet on a 10 foot hoop, not from your computer chair to your basketball hoop hamper without getting off your fat behind :)

I'm pretty bad at B-ball, I'll admit (although probably better than 85% or so on this forum, hehe), and I can shoot about as good as Shaq percentage-wise from the line. True, I don't have a wrist injury, and I'm not an overgrown mammoth, and my hands arent the size of a lard octopus, but I also am not shooting infront of 30,000 fans, doing the only thing I get critisized about in my whole game.

Poor Shaq :)

Well, I have played lots of basketball, and what it seems to me is that the taller you are, the harder it must be to shoot a free throw. At his height, there is very little arc on the ball........
