Shaq---skilled or just BIG ? Could he do it WITHOUT the size ?

Goldenbear, you just don't get it. I can easily beat Shaq in any shooting contest other than dunking. He can't shoot at all. He HAS worked his butt off to try to shoot better, he just has no skill in that area. There is absolutely no excuse for a center that size who is automatically going to get fouled constantly to not be able to shoot free throws, unless he just has no shooting talent.
Guess what? Shaq has none.

As far as comparing him to others like Mutumbo.....bad comparison. Mutumbo can't handle Shaq because he's too small. Not too short, too light. Same reason Robinson, Ewing, Mourning, etc. can't handle Shaq.
Sabonis is the only one who can come close, and he is old and has absolutely no cartilage left in his knees.

Again, take the size and agility away from Shaq, which is something he naturally has, not something he's worked to get, and he is a stiff. I know he has worked out a lot to hone his ability, but most of what he has is natural.....Size. You can't develop that.
NOBODY in the NBA has the same frame/build as Shaq. That is why he dominates. There are other 300 pounders, but none with Shaq's build. If there were more like him, you'd have something to compare him to. Right now, you don't.
I'd compare him to Wilt Chamberlain, who in his prime, would OWN Shaq defensively and offensively. He wasn't quite as large as Shaq, but about as tall and much more athletic, and Wilt could shoot.
