Shanahan Out In Denver
Broncos owner Pat Bowlen on Tuesday relieved Mike Shanahan of his position as head coach and executive vice president of football operations. Said Bowlen in a statement: "After giving this careful consideration, I have concluded that a change in our football operations is in the best interests of the Denver Broncos."

"Mike Shanahan is saying that his d-coordinator is going to return next year and that there aren't any changes in store for the Broncos coaches"

I think that statement MIGHT have done it. The -enver Broncos need a D!

damn....if the niners had held out a week, we might be annoucing Shanahan as the new head coach instead of keeping Singletary

I'm glad Singletary is the HC of the Niners.

I like Singletary. I just think Shanahan would be better.

Singletary would kick Shanahan's ass. Singletary is the man. Imagine if he was the Cowboys coach. He would kick the crap out of TO, Romo, Pac-man and the rest of the losers and install some discipline to go with the wasted talent. These overpaid crybaby athletes need someone like Singletary to kick their ass and tell them what to do. If you gave Singletary pads and helmet, he could still go out and kick some ass.

Lucifer is packing his bags in Denver. Pro Bowl before the Super bowl. The NFL is truely imploding. Next thing you know Brett Favre might actually retire.

Shanahan has become a burnout victim. The incentive to achieve the ultimate prize has got up and left. Of course, he will pop up somewhere else because the good old boy network will take care of him.

The hidden story is the off field involvement of certain players with unsavory elements of the Denver nightlife scene. The coach can lecture and threaten, but he can't take the lifestyle choices away from his players.

Yeah, but that's only one part of being a head coach. Too early to tell if Singletary will make a good coach.

be happy you have a coach that appears to have a soul. Unlike bears fans who are stuck with tubbie smith.

Given the excessive amount of available coaches...
could you imagine the coaching staff you could build???

Bill Cowher
Bill Parcells
Mike Shanahan
Brian Billick
Mike Holmgren
Mike Martz
Marty Shottenheimer
Romeo Crennel
Eric Mangini
Dom Capers
Jim Haslett

Ill take:

HC: Cowher
OC: Shanahan
DC: Brian Billick
ST: Dom Capers

with a coaching staff like that even detriot could go 16-0... well im joking of course, but that would be an all star coaching staff
