Bought it from Sennheiser USA for 10.50 or so Shipped to CA (refurbished, but its completely brand new from what I can tell, and others have had the same experience....), and all I can say is this beats anything Sony made for under 50 bucks EASILY.... the sound quality is superb and with the foams on the bass is surprisingly good for little earphones...

Sorry just had to get that out :)

Yeah, Sennheiser makes some great earbuds for the money. My only beef with my MX500s is that the cord is really short (though I would be whining just as much if it were too long, so I guess them's the breaks!).

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the MX 400s, but I decided to recently buy Koss KSC 55s and haven't regretted it at all. Those things sound amazing for the size and price (though they aren't earbuds).

how long is the cord lenght on the MX400? I was looking at them at RadioShack (for $25 CDN) and the box said it has a cord length of 1 meter (about 3 ft). Does Sennheiser sell the same earbuds with a shorter cord length?

I ask because I already have a remote for my MD and the earbuds that came with that died. So I wanted to replace them, but I don't want a long cord length.

Shouldn't be too hard to just tie up part of the cord... But yeah it's about 1 meter...

Hey mAdD INDIAN, I've been hearing about the MX400s at Radio Shack too - just went and picked up a pair, turned down the $10 extended warranty (already has 2 years on it and $10 would be 50% of the original cost). The cord is indeed pretty short, 1 metre, and the buds are indeed a little on the large side. Great sound though.

My advice: Keep the original packaging and receipt, and give them a try within the 30 days return policy Radio Shack has for this item. I already think I'll be keeping them. :)

Thanks. I find that panasonic ear buds to be very comfortable, but the sony ones hurt my ear. I hope the MX400 are nice. I'd like a 0.5m cord length though, but oh well.

I'll buy it and check it out.
