Yes, it is unfortunate. I very much dislike when people stroke their egos for no apparent reason and it is blatantly obvious that is what PHiuR is doing. Sorry but that drives me crazy. I never claimed to have taken amazing shots, just that they are decent and people might like them.

why does someone ask a photographer what gear he is using? the asker, thinks that by using that gear, he or she MIGHT be able to make a picture of that calibur. When as you said, it's not the camera, it's the photographer, then why are you dancing around praising about your lens sharpness and whatever you said about camera equipment?

I never said you were trying to sell me the lens. Your logic is so scattered it is impossible to follow.

You certainly did not answer his question even a little bit. This isn't even a debatable point. He asked what lens that picture was taken with, and you tried to 1-up me by somehow offering him a lens to buy. Not only did he not ask to purchase a lens, he asked what lens was used for a particular picture, which isn't the lens you are offering. If that doesn't make sense to you then it is definitely hopeless.

Please read through the thread again and notice that I never once stated that my lens is incredible, only that is competes with your so called "lens that takes a better shot" after you advertised it as such. You clearly introduced the argument in your post offering your lens for sale by commenting on it's ability to take a better picture. Also, the lens I said was sharper than your lens isn't even the one I used. Again, you fail at logic big time.

I simply stated I don't want it after the guy above me said he thought you were selling it to me.

Lame. I never said I was a great photographer, but nice straw man you just built yourself there. Please do everyone a favor and be realistic when they ask you about your knowledge of photography because it is lacking to be generous.

Look, you must be extremely thick if you can't understand that your comment was so far out in left field that it doesn't even make sense.

He asked what lens was used to take Picture A. You offered him a lens that in no way, shape, or form was used to capture Picture A. It is completely out of context in all aspects and literally makes no sense. Nothing you can say will redeem this simple fact.
