I certainly don't care for the effect. (Mariah used to have a pretty decent voice...back when she was young. )

Where have you been? Autotune has been raping the musical landscape for years now. The thing I don't get is that even the people making music are complaining about it but we keep getting more and more that are doing practically full albums with it. It's right up there with guitar solos going missing several years back.

Gimme a break. This is about the only exposure I get to hip-hop.(thankfully) I really do NOT listen to "modern rock," hip-hop, or much of any of the "newer" musical styles of the past 15-20 years...(alternative rock? WTF is that? An alternative TO rock? Skaa? cover your mouth when you cough...indie music? Is that the theme song for the Indianapolis 500?
