Clothing.
I'd be too afraid of getting knock-offs or fake stuff when it's sold as genuine.

I was thinking about buying an Xbox360 and GH2, but checking Amazon and BB, it seemed like the GH2 bundle was sold out everywhere. I saw several people on eBay and Amazon selling the bundle for ~$123.

On a whim, I checked EBGames - the bundle was in-stock for $90.

I thought about buying a few and throwing them up on eBay, but decided it wasn't worth the trouble. I've tried selling video games in the past and they seem to attract more kids who bid, then refuse to pay saying their parents wouldn't give them the money for it.

Its crazy. I was looking at camera equipment and it was cheaper to get the stuff at B&H photo. Quicker, less hassle, safer. Why people use still use ebay... I will never know.

It's great when you are the seller, but what a waste of time if you are looking for a bargain.
eBay is like a gambling addiction to some. They can't see past "winning" an item to realize they aren't getting a good deal at all.

I love my Givi cases. I picked up a set of 2 46L cases and the E52 from ridenow.com earlier this year. I love them.

Ocassionally there are people who live in places where you can't even mail order certain things. That's where eBay shines......

Best way to get a good deal is to search with typos. Find something that the person might have spelled wrong because other people might not find it that way.

Agreed. I've already busted one guy for doing this. Don't know what good it did though. He probably made new accounts right after Ebay deleted the others.

Finding bargains/deals on ebay has been a thing of the past for the past 5 years or so.

The only ebay is worthwhile for is if you are a seller or looking for something rare.

it depends on what you need to buy.....for example I wanted a license tag holder with the VW logo on it....couldn't find it anywhere local....

scored it on ebay for 16.99 shipped and I didn't have to leave the comfort of my chair...

ebay is good for trying to find old, rare, or out of print type items.
you can find deals in certain categories, like books.

Well, maybe it's just me, but at least half the stuff I sell on eBay is the stuff I bought on eBay. There is plenty of real bargains there you just have to know whoere and ow to look for them. I make pretty damn good profit doing it.

No, because that still requires some real person who bid above the retail price.
