Shaking Monitor

Hello,
I am having a very upsetting problem with my monitor. I have a AMD 1.4ghz computer. A GeForce 2 64mb card. The main problem is that the monitor is just shaking very fast. Everything on the screen is visible but is shaking a centimeter or two in each dircection very rapidly. It is getting very anoying. I have checked all of the cables and all those sorta things. Re-set the monitor as well. I have a Sony trinitron MultiScan 100sf 15". It has been working just fine lately but now it is just doing this. Last night it was working just fine, and same with this morning, it just started doing it. Any ideas, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, or you can e-mail me as well. Thanks a lot HELP. It just stopped!! But does anyone have any idea why it is doing this?

yes what he said also your main power box could have a bad ground! Alot of the time peoples boxes are ground to the copper pipes in thier basement and thats not good. It should be grounded outside to a copper pole going 8 ft into the ground!

Thanks, I will give that a try. I have one power strip running my monitor, the computer, some "Power Hungry" Altec Lansing speakers, and a printer. Maybe I will Pluf the speakers right into the wall. Thanks for the help

Pluffing the speakers can damage them. 🙂 j/k.

Is it near an a/c? Fan? If its in front of a wall whats on the other side of the wall? Check it out.

My monitor used to shake a little too. Now it randomly shuts on and off. I think it may be dying but it's possible something is taking power from it. Either way I think I'm gonna RMA this thing soon cuz I don't want it to go out on me when I really need it.
