I have a couple of 10%-off coupons for Shadow Warrior (the new one). It stacks with the pre-order discount, so instead of paying $33, you can get the game for $30. If anyone wants one just let me know.

Edit: one more left.

I would be quite keen on the idea of receiving a single unit of your discount vouchers towards the purchase of one Shadow Warrior. Thank you, my good man.

I have a coupon to give, as well. They gave me one after I used the one Dan gave me.

Pre-ordering also gets you 75% off some decent shooters. I used it on Hard Reset for $3.74!

Just played the first hour -- it is really, really good. The best of all the re-boots in recent memory.

Tons of special moves, upgrades, crazy kills, blood and jokes. The sword play is excellent and there is a lot of environmental destruction.

Highly recommended!

Got it. Love it. Played first 2 chapters even though I'm exhausted from a long day. Slicking up bad guys is so enjoyable.

I have a 10% of coupon as well.

I've been playing it. I honestly had no idea what it was at first. No clue it was like a Serious Sam / Duke Nukem type of game. I usually don't like those too much but this one's really fun, mainly I just like the swordplay and hacking things up. Also, the graphics engine is beautiful and the destructive environments are awesome. I've laughed out loud at some of the jokes, it doesn't try too hard like some other games it's just there and sometimes works well.

I do wish the controls were a bit more refined. I don't much like the auto-aim, not sure if you can turn that off but I imagine it'd be hard as hell to aim without it. I also haven't figured out if there are combos you're supposed to use or what because I usually don't get more than 3/5 star rating for my combat. Every car or vending machine blowing up instantly when you attack it gets annoying too.

Overall, it's a really fun game. I'd recommend it. The graphics alone are impressive. If you want to hack limbs off, cut things in half, and have blood squirting everywhere - basically like a Kill Bill movie, then give it a try.

I'm almost half-way through the campaign and it's quickly becoming my personal GOTY.

I love the controls. I'm constantly dashing in every direction and pulling off multiple Ki attacks. I'm playing on Normal, so it is pretty easy, but I just throw myself right into the middle of the demon hordes and go crazy.

Anyone find any of the secret stashes? And are they worth looking for?

I found 5 of 5 on the second level, but only 3 of 8 on the first. One tip: blow up everything you can.

The stashes give you money for the most part, which help with upgrades.

Agree 100%. I'm someone who generally doesn't enjoy FPS style games, and half the games I buy on steam sit unplayed forever.

Something convinced me to buy Shadow Warrior on gog.com... the fact that it's distributed by Devolver Digital, who also put out the amazing Hotline Miami.

I never played the original Shadow Warrior, but that hasn't diminished my enjoyment of the reboot one bit. The "feel" when you are slicing up enemies with a katana is just wonderful, and the various weapon upgrades, ki powers, and other upgrades is just awesome- it's a very simple game on the surface but there are so many options that add depth.

It's also a game that, IMO, gets story right. Ugh, after playing FFXIV for a month I was so sick of the stupid terrible storyline, it's such a breath of fresh air to play a game with a simple, short, yet still entertaining story. I loved the usage of the "The Touch", reminded me of watching the Transformers movie back in the 80s.

The game engine is pretty cool too, with nearly all the objects being destructible. After playing Shadow Warrior I actually decided to go back and check out Hard Reset. Not bad, but it didn't have the fun melee combat and upgrade system of Shadow Warrior so I lost interest after 30 minutes. Maybe I'll go back and play it after finishing SW.

Going to start watching Devolver Digital closely, so far everything they have put out has been pure gold. Can't wait for Hotline Miami 2.

I'm glad to see someone else enjoying it as much as me. This game isn't getting the attention that I think it deserves. I suppose Hard Reset has had a similar existence. Devolver Digital is seriously underrated.

I hate to admit it but I'm 10+ hours in and I just realized that you can change the melee (Simple, Basic, Advanced) mechanics and which sword you use through the Game option menu.

I'm going to try the Advanced melee this weekend and see how different the experience is. I've had it on Basic this whole time and have been totally satisfied. The sword choices become available at certain points in the story, I think. Right now I have 2 on Chapter 13.

Haven't loaded it yet, but I already love it.

I never understood why people claimed that game was racist. Sure, Lo Wang's Engrish was amusingly simplistic, but he was THE man. Now he is THE man again.

Same reason why the following names are supposedly racist:

Ho Lee Fuk
Wi Too Low
Bang Ding Ow
