Thanks FrugalGuy but it looks like its over. Several of us - including myself - have come up empty basket. It was limited inventory but is still on their site but you cant find it via a search, only through DVD-Drama selection.

This DVD might be worth the cost of retail. The story of perseverence is incredible. I just watching saying "no way!" On the downside, it makes Lance Armstrong's comeback look trivial (and I have huge huge respect for Armstrong). It makes Rocky look like a ballerina. etc.,

If the deal's dead, read the books. There is more than one, and there are at least 3 different movies detailing what is widely believed to be the most incredible true story ever told.

Nice set....I watched the program on TV....brought back memories....

I did a full year down on the ice a few years back.....summer season is great, winter season sucks since there is natural sunlight, got a little depressing..


I don't think I would have made it if I'd been with Shackleton.......

This is a great story and production. They actually went to Antartica to film this. I have the set, purchased from A&E for about $45, and well worth that.
