Using the SB95P v2 with the setup below here are some preliminary results of overclocking:

2 x sata 250 maxtor HD's in raid 0
p4 3.4Ghz
x800 xt radeon g/x card
1 gb crucial ballixstix 2 x 512 ddr2

Boots into POST SCREEN ok at 17 x 238 fsb = 4.04Ghz

Whilst I think this is very impressive for my first SFF, it wont go into XP at that speed.

Currently testing OK at 17 x 220 = 3.74Ghz and is aok with all apps so far. I may try to gradually increase this.

ALL ram, and voltage settings are set to stock. I may push them a little later on.

Im sure if I increase the cpu voltage ill get closer to 4Ghz stable.

The thing thats stopping me is

1) this is a SFF and the PS is only a slentx 350w
2) Ive seen the cpu temp shoot up from 38 to 51 degrees under full load.

What Im thinking is experimenting with the 14x multiplier as this is available in the bios.

Whilst i think the preliminary results here are full of potential, the lack of options in the bios and the low rated ps are the factors which may hold me back.

I'd be interested to know anyone else's overclocking results with any SFF, so please post here along with any advice you may have.

PS anyone with advice on reducing a humming effect from a power supply, please post here with your suggestions appreciated -

hi, i have sb61g2v3

-modded the fan in back to fit a thermaltake(forget what model)

-3.2E running at 3.06Ghz

-1 gig Corsair value ram.

-9800pro 128-256bit

-nec 16x dvdx

Fan mod really did the trick, it would run high 50's till i put that in. Now i don't run over 48-49.
