You know how it is, you negotiate a price with the prostitute, have your fun, and then all the sudden she wants more money. Menendez should be commended for holding the line on prostitute fee inflation.
He's a socially liberal, fiscal conservative. The perfect candidate! Finally!

On a more serious note, prostitution is legal in the Dominican Republic, and Menendez is not married (divorced.) So Menendez appears to be neither an adulterer nor a law breaker. I don't know much of anything about Menendez one way or the other, but this doesn't appear to be that major of a sex scandal when considered in the annals of recent American sex scandals. What is the scandal? That he under-payed 2 prostitutes, or that he has sex with women he isn't married to?

I bet it really hurts him with the religious right demographic. The last one that was willing to vote for him definitely will not after these events have been uncovered.

No, because Vitter paid what he was supposed to, it was Democrat Senator Menedez that shorted the poor prostitute and delivered less than promised.

So prostitution is ok, as long as it's a republican and he tips well?

Sex on a swift boat with an underage illegal immigrant with no birth certificate and an expired visa. The boat is owned by the CIA, and they had an FBI handler at the airport. Like any of it frickin matters. You people vote for whoever they decide anyway. Like they care if Obomney wins or loses.

If it's legal in the Dominican and he cheated a couple of workers from their rightful pay isn't it a fraud/criminal case? Any chance we'll see charges filed? What are the extradition laws ?

Where is there any real evidence that Menendez had sex with those two women or ever even met them? As our two prostitutes had no real name and allegedly identified him with a photo some one else supplied. And after that we only have the word of two prostitutes that their client stiffed them on the deal.

On that evidence presented, few if any Da's would even touch a case like that with a 10 foot pole. As photo evidence is notoriously unreliable.

But then again my post proves nothing either, its impossible to prove someone is innocent unless they have an iron clad alibi.

Is that shop-lifting?

Meh. I have no great moral problem with prostitution, and I'm certainly no fan of the King of Corruption, but I'm not taking the word of a couple of hookers on anything of substance.

Given that Menendez is often considered the most corrupt man in Congress (even being a contender is no mean feat) and supposedly perennially on the verge of being indicted, this hardly even rates a mention.
