Huh? It's a Mitsubishi. A 3000GT VR-4 Spyder.

3.0 twin-turbo V6 AWD 300 hp and... 3800 lbs 🙁

320 wasn't it? Or was that just the US Spec Supra... ahh I can't remember and I'm too lazy to look it up

it was 320hp but the 2nd gen put down more power b/c of 2 extra psi.

meh...ugly old man car. heavy as hell too.

Why does everyone complain about weight all of the time? The solution is just more power. A regular VR4 weights only 150lbs more than a supra and my Buick weighted in at 3700lb.

i assume handling worsens with increasing weight

Yes, but not everyone wants to ride around in a miata or elise to handle on rails. The Vr4's did a nice job with the AWD and AWS.

FD RX7 all the way

Underpowered and unreliable 😛 But goddamn what a chassis and body

...don't take that post as "I'm a fan of the VR-4" because I'm not really 😛

Last time I checked, the FD was STILL a faster car in accleration and would run circles around the VR-4.

I can remember C&D doing 0-60 runs of 4.9 seconds for the RX-7. That was uber fast for a car like that back in the 90's.

But it sure was unreliable as hell 😀

The Pig can/has done 0-60 in 4.9 as well...the comparison between it and the FD would have to stop there though 😀

probably wasn't even a VR4, but you're car should be able to take one. Give each car $100 in mod money and the VR4 would pull you hard 😉

90% of the 3000GTs I see on the road are the SL or the base model. That's pretty sad.

1) that car is pretty common around here
2) your digicam sucks balls

considering they only made 15,537 VR4's from 1991-1999. I would guess 1,500-2,000 spyders. Not that common, it's just you can't tell the difference between a SL and a VR4.

haha that car is still worth 20-30K even though its 10 years old and it will still run with the new cobras...

20-30K? I think you're thinking of a MKIV Supra 😛 And it doesn't run with new Cobras, not stock at least.

Just the same thought I had. I've seen better looking cars

Very overrated cars IMHO...spyder version in my opinion was designed to be the poor man's NSX, they aren't slow, but not the all conquering cars many think/make them out to be.

However, as a GT/Cruiser which this car is designed to be...it's not a bad choice. 928GTS is my favorite of the nearly affordable in that class. I wouldn't mind a 3000GT VR4 at all.

A car that has really held it's value and is increasing in price lately is the late 240SX. I was lucky to get my 98SE with under 70k, 5spd, etc for $8,800 (about 11 months ago)..most I was looking at (and in inferior condition/higher mileage) were $10K to 15K.

I like cars you don't see often. That Spyder would qualify, as I can't say I have noticed one ever here....and in S. Florida the hot cars are prevalent.
