Ok, not sure if the right forum, if it's not I'll change it, but please have a heart and help me out.

I came home from work today, and my interent browser (IE) is seriously fvcked up. Everytime I try to go to any page it automatically redirects me to: http:/// which obviously is no good. When I hit the back button it just goes back to the bad place. If I hit it a few times, then it works and I can go to another page and repeat the process which is how I got here. You can't even begin to believe how frustrating this is. Anyways, I ran AdAware, nothing. I tried to install Norton (I just reformated and hadn't installed it yet) and it can't install for some reason (I've installed it before, so this is kind of a shock). So, any advice? Maybe a virus? I don't have a clue, have any of you heard of anything like this before? Thanks a lot.

Yup.. I'd say Software-Apps-Games..

It sounds like you got hijacked.. hit up the stickies on the top there and you'll be fine.
AND USE FIREFOX :)

You try -

Tools > Internet Options > Home page?

This happened to my sister once, and it WAS spyware. Some crap IE toolbar she installed. Spybot fixed it.

IF all else fails, there's always FF. :)

NO. That is why you need to get connected with Usenet - or, even another source to locate porn.

You can probably just post the log in this thread. Shouldn't be too hard to find what's hijacking your browser. Almost sounds like the about:blank one but that one only does it when you start ie. If it's a new variant it can be a real pain in the arse to find the files.
