Question Several BIOS updates available...can I jump to the latest release?

Hi gang,

So I decided to check my mobo drivers recently after having a bit of a hiatus from my PC for the last few months, and discovered there have been at least 3(!) BIOS updates for my motherboard since I last flashed mine (which would have been sometime in February). All specs are in my signature.

Am I ok to download the latest release (from 8/28), or is the common consensus that you should flash each update sequentially? Thanks!

Usually it's fine to hop straight to the latest update though it might be worth having a quick trawl through the BIOS notes for odd entries like "you have to do this one twice in a row".

What mikeymikec said, but your motherboard also has Q-Flash Plus, which is supposed to be able to flash a new BIOS even if the motherboard gets bricked by an update

Yeah, its fine. Sometimes, with really old boards with tons of BIOS'es released later on, its recommended to flash in steps. But its usually specified on the manufacturer's page.
On Dell Optiplex, you sometimes have to update sequentially coz the latter BIOS depends on a previous Management Engine update to be there. In such cases, the notes mention the minimum version required for the update to proceed. Didn't try jumping to the newest. It's possible it might refuse to update.
