Nitrous. NOS is a company.

Do you also point it out when someone calls a tissue a kleenex?

Edit: I just read what you said about market share and so forth. I don't think that changes anything. "NOS" = "a nitrous oxide system" to everyone, it would seem, but you. Regardless of market share, that's just the way it is.

If you had a clue about this subject you would see where I debunked this MYTH many times. I haved posted market share data for Kimberly-Clark and its major competitors versus the market share for NOS and its competitor. They are not even close. Fast the and Furious led to Nitrous being called NOS and anyone who says different is a damn fool. Yes it burns my ass everytime a Ricer asks me if I have NAAAWSSS!

Man, that's pretty stick up the butt. :Q

Well, if you want to be that anal, according to a chemist, nitrous is also an incomplete term. It should be Nitrous Oxide.
Not anal enough. The correct term is dinitrogen oxide, fool.

p\/\/|\|3d j00!

nitrous oxide is considered acceptable to the chemistry world

source

Formula as commonly written: N2O

Synonyms
nitrogen oxide
dinitrogen oxide
nitrous oxide

notice "nitrous" by itself is not on the list.

Looks like you're the one that got "p\/\/|\|3d" :Q

WTF is talking about chemists? I am talking about what is a product and what is a company. Fast and the Furious blew nitrous up to become NAAWSSS! I had never even heard that before F&F. I had heard Juice, Spray, the Jug, Nitrous, happy gas, laughing gas, but not a fvcking company name. It is asinine.

NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems.
Reread what I wrote. The company name has become synonymous with the product. Get it? Get over it.

Huge difference being that Kimberly-Clark is a monopoly in facial tissues whereas NOS is nowhere near that. In fact they may be going under soon even with Holley's backing.

NO! It isn't. Only after F&F it was like that.

Ok, look you have nos in your car. Yes, I said "nos." So what are you going to do about it? Drive out to CA spraying "nos" all the way to kick my butt?

What am I supposed to get over? That you have no clue what the hell you are talking about?

Only in some states is it illegal. In fact it depends on whether or not the lines are connected in some cases.

NOS is produced by Holley, correct? I'm doing some reaserch into a kit for my car.

NOS was a wholly indepedent company bought by Holley. Sadly Holley may not be able to save them. I use the NOSzle kit for my car.

You've posted market share? Are you serious? :Q It doesn't matter who/what/where/when/why it became synonymous, that's the way it's ended up. And when some ricer says you have a cool car, I'm sure you're quick to point out that it's not cold outside. Dude, learn the lingo! You're not going to undo "nos" in the slang vocabulary, despite whatever spreadsheets and market research you put together in your one-man crusade. And your attempts to 'debunk the MYTH' are just going to cause you more anquish in the long run as it makes you a target for irritation.

So then why did you write out all those replies to me and everyone else? Heck you've even done correlational research on marketshare. :Q

I guess it would take a couple fills of nos to get out here. :D

"Innocent People"

For some reason that phrase makes me crack up every time I hear it... I think it's just cause it's man made to whatever specs we wish.

Can't we just call it N2O and get along? (erk..)

I saw on the news that San Diego has started blocking off a street out of town and setting it up for the racers to run on, under police supervision. people get to have fun for free, don't get arrested, and innocent people around them don't get hurt.. Seems like a good idea.
