I have a windows compute running 24/7, and I would like to setup a proxy server on it. The reason is, since my setup boxes (Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, etc) are unable to directly use VPN, I would like for them to connect to my computer, and then have the computer bridge the proxy and VPN connections so that ultimately, traffic for my setup boxes are routed over my VPN.

I’m not trying to get access to geolocked content, so a dns hack won’t work.

Wouldn't it be easier to run your VPN connection from your router and then have your router route only the devices you want through the VPN, other devices get routed normally through your ISP.

Set top, not setup.

But yes, this is a job for routing, not proxy servers. If your home router won't support a VPN client, get one that will.
