Setup Incomplete when installing game

So I played Painkiller when it came out and then uninstalled it. I just picked up the expansionmand now when I try to install painkiller it gets to what seems like the end of the first CD but instead of Insert Disk 2 it says setup incomplete and if I retry it goes to same spot with same error.

I've tried cleaning the disk and installing to a different directory. I'm at a loss. Any tips.

 
sometimes...no make that often times programs uninstall routines can be inefficient and unthorough. Use the search function and look for any strings that you can see may clearly be associated with painkiller that are still on your harddrive and give em da boot.

ie I would search for painkiller, if company xyz wrote painkiller I would search for xyz...etc
This technique has worked for me before. worth a shot.
 
Snapster, I just let the auto installer do it's thing....How do i try your method?
