I just wondered if y'all can be of some help on this.

I am going to be out of my ISP's local access number area, but still need just a bit of internet access, and would prefer not to have to get it by installing AOHELL. I'd prefer to use long distance access via my AT&T Prepaid Phone Card, since it's only about 3 cents/min.

I really don't care if it's fancy or dirty, or if I have to use a handphone through part of it. I've been wandering around the dialup rules for a couple hours, trying different things, but, I'm getting nowhere. Possibly someone can get me started?

Or, would it be easiest to accomplish this by just using commas, for the pauses needed, in my dialup number???

I have Windows 2000 Pro.

With my card I would need to, in order:

1. Dial an 800 number
2. Wait for 3 second message to finish
3. Dial a 12 number card number
4. Wait for 2 second message to finish
5. Dial 555-637-5102, which would be my ISP's number, and connect via modem.

Suggestions or web page for help?

Thanks

Are you sure your ISP doesn't have an access number for where you are going to be?

I can't think of an automatic way to accomplish this, but this is only temporary anyways.
My advise; Complete steps 1-4 with handset, then have modem dial to ISP, hang up handset.

darktubbly--Thanks much. That's just what I'm looking for. I had only been able to find instructions on how to do it with a "regular" calling card, and the prepaids are kinda a$$backwards. Yep....that'll do it.

pyrojunkie--Yeah, my ISP is ev1, which does actually have alot of dialups around the nation, surprisingly enough. But, nope, I tried every weinie ISP I could think of, and I think only AOL and Earthlink had access to this little no name place I'll be at. I'd rather pay a few bucks @ 3 cents/minute to connect, than even think about AOL. I think I found a freebie 45 day "new" deal for Earthlink, but, considering the hassle, and then having to cancel, or change my subscription, I think I'll just pay the $$'s. I'm only gonna need maybe 5-6 hours per month or so.

Thanks much guys.
