Setting Up WebServer BEHIND A ROUTER on a CABLE CONNECTION? - BSD / Linux

I want to setup a webserver at a friends house, BUT the server is going to be behind a router, will this cause problems? So it'll look like this:

Cable TV -> Router -> Webserver


Is there anything special I have to do to get the webserver to be available to the general public?
Is this easy to do with FreeBSD / Linux? Can anyone reccomend any good tutorials / howtos?

On the router/firewall forward port 80 to the specified IP of the webserver.
What type of router do you have?

Avantsys or something I think... maybe Linksys... srry don't remember.
