Setting up Server

As some of you may know i have a Drivers thread in the Video Forums. My web service can only give me a mere 10mb of webspace. Can someone tell me how to setup a webserver on my computer that i am using right now.

I am more HW oriented so im not proficient with this web based stuff.

I do have a HW firewall through a D-Link router. Will that be a problem?

The big issue is your ISP. If you have a regular cable or DSL subscription, you can't run a home server without violating most terms of service.

I have Adelphia Cable Internet. Connection speed is 2mb downstream 256k (Might be 512K) updstream. Probably not sufficient for any intense workload but enough to get me by until i can find a more suitable replacement.

you'll want to start out with a simple linux distro, that's if you are going to have a linux based webserver. i am not a linux guru myself, so i'd suggest reading up on linux forum. install apache and have fun.
