Im setting up a shared folder from my main system with ServU and ive logged in with a user / pass i created from a diffrent system to test it. I can log into the shared folder, but i never can see actual file content of this shared folder... its always EMPTY even tho i have put files in there. Is there a certain setting within servU or maybe a xp setting i need to toggle so i can see my files in a shared folder properly? Im at a loss!

help! :)

You need to give the user account on the ServU server permissions to list, read, write, execute, etc. (whatever is appropriate) files in that directory before you will be able to view and manipulate them when logged in remotely. Go to the server, click on the account name in the users list, click properties, and assign the permissions you need.

It's been a long time since I used ServU so my directions to find the permissions settings may not be exactly right, but you do need to assign the permissions before it will work.
