do you still have the manual/instructions that came with your digital cable box? it should have a list of codes for almost all TV manufacturers. i would help you, except that i have TimeWarner digital cable. good luck.

this may or may not work

Setup instruction
Install two AA batteries
The T - 2000 is already programmed to control the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2000 Digital Home Communications Terminal.

Look up the manufacturer of your TV in the DEVICE CODES section and note the three-digit code.

1. Turn on your TV

2. Press and hold "TV" key and "DEVICE" key at the same time until the indicator is on

3. Enter the three-digit code

4. If your TV turns off, press the "DEVICE" key. (If your TV doesn't turn off, enter the other three-digit code continuously until the TV turns off.)

5. If the programming is correct, the indicator will blink twice

code for Sony TV is one of these, not sure which

alright, my last try

TURN ON your TV.
PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the remote's red light blinks twice. RELEASE the SETUP key.
ENTER the first 3-digit Setup Code for your brand of television. If you entered the code, correctly, the remote's red light will blink twice.
AIM remote at your television and hit the TV key. Your television should turn off. If your television does not turn off, repeat steps 1-3 trying each code for you brand of TV until you find the code that operates your television.
NOTE:Since the remote is only designed to operate Televisions and Cable Converters, the remote is NOT able to operate TV/VCR combinations.

Searching For Your Television Code

TURN ON your television.
PRESS and HOLD the SETUP key until the remote's red light blinks twice. RELEASE the SETUP key.
ENTER 9-9-1 remote's red light will blink twice
AIM the remote at your Television and slowly alternate between pressing the TV and MUTE keys until your television mutes (make sure the sound on your TV is turned up). You may have to press this sequence of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
Once your Television mutes. PRESS and RELEASE the SETUP button to lock in your code. Your remote is ready to operate your television.
