OK i have been to the end of the internet and have found no solid help. OK i need to know how to set up a RAID0; what hardware do i buy, how do i go about installing it, etc etc...This would be for a brand new build, so it wont have XP(or vista, depending on when i get new comp) installed, it will start from scratch. 2 raptors. Any link, adivce, help would be appreciated.

Connect one sata cable to one drive and the mobo, the other sata cable to the other sata drive and the mobo. Boot. Most probable thing after that will be a RAID post message with a key to strike to enter (this will appear after the BIOS setup area). Go into that and do what seems most natural (should be obvious) to setup the two drives as RAID 0. You will probably also have a setting here to make the RAID array bootable. Next, reboot and go into the BIOS setup. You will probably have to make the RAID array the second (after CD ROM) boot device. Put the XP install CD into the CDROM and boot - when asked to boot from CD, hit enter. You may need to load Raid drivers from a floppy. You do this by hitting F6 at the very beginning of the CD boot process when it asks if you have additional drivers. Follow the instructions for adding the additional drivers part way through the load of the XP install. It will ask you to hit S to install additional drivers and then ask for the floppy with the RAID drivers. After install, remove the CD and let it boot naturaly from the RAID array.

Hope that helps. I am sure that people will be able to give more exact instructions based on the mobo and built in RAID support.
