hi, I just got an ati radeon 8500 aiw for the new system I'm building. I have an Epox 4g4a+ mobo, which has an integrated video card. I wanted to use the ati and the integrated card for a dual monitor setup, but I can't seem to figure it out. I'm running Windows 2k and the device manager only shows the ati as a display driver. I read some information on microsoft's website and they said that I have to use the integrated card as the primary video card, but I can't figure out how to get my system to recognize it. In the bios, there is an option for what card to use as your primary adapter, but the options are "AGP/integrated" and "PCI" Since the ati is an agp card, this option doesn't seem to do me any good.

I've tried jsut installing the intel drivers for my integrated video card but it says that there's a software error when i try to do that.

Does anyone have any ideas? Do youthink I'll have to bite the bullet and get a PCI video card if i want to run d ual displays?

That's because you cannot have two AGPish devices at the same time. The integrated one is gone the moment you plug an AGP VGA. You need a PCI VGA if you want to keep using the integrated one.

Peter, so if i want to use the ati, then i need to get a pci video card?

orbius, as i understand it, the aiw supports dual monitors, but you need 2 video cards, unless you want to use a monitor and a tv for your setup.
