setting up a PXE server...

Recently I have acquired a computer that has Intel® L440GX+ Server Board with two p3 CPUs. It doesn't have memory or hard-disk. I pulled out a stick of pc100 DIMM from one of my desktops at home, connected a monitor and keyboard and powered it on. When it powers up (after a few seconds of getting IP and from DHCP server, my DSL router) I see:

PXE-E53: No boot filename received

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM
Operating System not found

Looking up on the 'net I see that this box is trying to connect to a PXE server. My question is:

How can I make use of this box? I have another computer that is running RH 9. What do I need to do to setup the PXE server on this box (running RH 9) so that my dual-p3 box can become functional? Any pointers will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Get a hard drive for it.

You're not going to get much of a useful OS just PXE booting with no drive.

Google for a Linux solution that would allow you to boot the machine using PXE's capabilities and a hard drive image on your RH9 machine.

Or stick a $50 hard drive into it and never have to mess with it.... :)

Thanks for your suggestion. As per your suggestion, I am leaning toward sticking in a hard disk...but I don't see where it will go. I mean, this box doesn't have any slot/s for a hard-drive.

A quick google turns up this: (and a thousand more entries)

You could do that if you had lots of free time; it's not unusual or terribly difficult, but it is time consuming.
