setting up a lan

me and 5 other buddies are tryin to set up a lan
we have 2 linksys routers, each with 4 ports, but there are six of us
last time we attempted this it was a mess and only 4 computers were able to play.

is there any way to connect router to router? or will i have to buy a 6+ port ?

thanks

Connecting the routers should work. Are you using one to connect to the net? if not then both will act as very expensive switches.

What routers are you using?

All you have to do is disable DHCP in 1 of the routers so that it can be connected in a "chain" setup.
Then connect a cable from any of the 4 ports from the main router (the 1 that has DHCP enabled and is connected to the modem / internet) to the WAN port of the second router (the one with DHCP disabled)

You'll be only using the switch within the router that you disabled DHCP server on. The router with the DHCP server on should assign ips automatically including clients in the other "router".
