i need help on setting up a ftp server. what is the best ftp server program to use? what is the best free dns to use?
 
I've used Ser-U FTP Server 2.5 (very old version, current one is 4.xx) for my private FTP server. It's small, very simple and easy to setup. Since I don't leave it on all the time, I don't worry much about sercurity and other stuff.
 
i have used serv-u since ver 3 and now use 4.x. it is very easy to use and. i have also used bulletproof ftp which is easy too. i use no-ip.com and dns2go.com for dynamic ips. they both offer clients that update your ip to their dns. very nice, free programs. hope this helps.
