Setting up a cluster

I have been toying with the idea of setting up a clustered computer just for fun. I recently got my hands on a couple of 486's and some free time. Do you guys have any opinions on what type of cluster to setup (eg beowulf, mosix...) and maybe some tips and encouragement.

Why did I know you where going to ask that? :Q

With Mosix, you don't have to setup PVM/MPI.

You really won't need it, because I don't see you trying to predict the weather patterns, or plotting the trajectory to pluto, on a bunch of 486s. <hehe>

I'm assuming you have the Mosix Web Site bookmarked.
Go there and click the Application button, that will tell you the things Mosix is good for, and not so good for.
