I recently ordered a 4400+ processor and have been looking through the forums and have seen some people mention setting the HAL correctly when installing windows. How exactly is this done? In my countless reformats, builds, etc., I haven't come across this/know what it is. Thanks.

Most would opt for the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC, and I'm not sure between the options for an X2 processor. Anyone have info on the X2 selection?
 
When I upgraded from my 3500+ to the X2 4800+ all I did was boot up, Windows XP SP2 detected new Hardware at logon automatically, said it was installed and if I wanted to reboot... I said yes and it was done.

(I had already flashed the bios to a version that supported the X2 before the upgrade)
