setting 3com to half duplex

I got a 905c but I was wondering how I set this thing to half duplex? I tried downloading some software thing from 3com bt it just crashes my comp, any ideas? Or is it automatically default to half duplex?

Reason I'm asking is because for some reason my DSL isn't going through to my computer, i'm using a efficient 5660 and for some reason the nic card isn't making the connection between the computer and the modem. After messing around with it for 2 weeks i sorta gave up, but then the phone line went dead and it turns out the dsl was causing phone problem, so when the tech guy from the dsl company came to look at the phone lines he said that sometimes you need to switch it to half duplex, but I don't know how to switch this NIC card to half duplex any thoughts?

Have you tried going into the network properties (right click on Network Neighborhood/My Network Places or go into Control Panel and double click on Network Properties) ? Once you are in there open up the properties for your 3com nic. A window will pop up with tabs at the top, click on Advanced. On the advanced tab you should see Connection Type in a box, select it and then select the media conneciton type to the right of it. In the media options you should have your full/half-duplex and 10/100 options.
