I've noticed that my SetiQ has been a little more sluggish than usual so I went to investigate and realized that my server machine has been up for 53 days without a reboot! :Q:Q

I know that is a record for me but I was just curious what everyone else's uptimes for their Q's have been!

I dont run a Q, but the power goes out enough around here to kill any uptimes I might get.

With all the traffic I get, I find it best to restart the Q once a week or so.
Better to have a couple of minutes off line than a major crash.
No uptime records here :(

I run window$ too...........so frequent updates to keep it secure and well patched are a must for me too

That's a long time :Q

I don't run a Q either, but I restart my computers rather frequently because of installing programs or windows updates.

Oh I have a couple winblows machines - a 2K AS (my dual Xeon), a 2K Pro (my PIII 500 Thinkpad), a couple 98s (one is my P4 1.6@2.2 another a Duron 700, and a 3rd a K62-500@505...LOL).

That's why I can talk about them like a dog! :D :p

[EDIT: Oh and my XP 1900 1.6@1.7 quad boots - SuSE 7.2, 98, 2K Pro, XP RC1 (that is now expired...lol)]

How hard is it to get used to Linux Poof? I'm sick of Windows!

I tried to get it to 550 but it wouldn't POST... :p

I've been using Linux since '99 now... There's really not much difference except that I can have multiple desktops and switch consoles and load software without rebooting and... and... :D :p

It has really smoothed out alot since I first started using it. I use it as my main desktop at home (I'm on my Red Hat 7.3 running on my dual XP right now). Nutscrape is a pain sometimes but I'm using Mozilla which is pretty decent (I can eliminate pop ups) and some of the other browsers like Galleon or Konqueror are pretty decent.

[EDIT - Oh and of course I can play UT on it too... :D Haven't had chance to download that new one yet though...]
