setiq help

aiex

Senior member
Well i am sitting here at uni with a hell of a lot of band width so i thought i would set up my seti q again. My question is can you guys get into it? My IP is currently 139.222.179.172 port 5517

I belive the uni has a good firewall so would not be surprised if you could not get into it though 🙁 If you can't do u have any ideas for getting around the uni firewall as i belive another fast que in the UK could help a few people

Thanks in advance

Alex 😀

I am not sure that this is a firewall problem. It appears more like a IP problem and the way that the University routes to your IP from the external IP.
Bleep

hmm i'm not sure, unfortunatly it is very difficult to check because anybody from inside the university can actually access it...
hmph.....

try connecting your queue to mine, and i will see what the IP address it comes from is, cos u might have a different "external" IP address than your "internal" one at the uni 🙂
