I've been slowly gathering parts to make a computer for a friend. It'll be at least a 1 Gig Duron but more likely an Athlon XP 1600+ rig. Naturally, I will install Seti as my fee. There are some complications, though.
I will be using Windows 98SE. I need Seti to be hidden so it doesn't confuse the users. I haven't had much luck with the Win98 Service installs but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be willing to help me with that.
The bigger problem is that this will be a dialup machine and I want to be able to submit WU's automatically when a dialup connection is established.
I noticed SetiLauncher in Sukhoi's help thread but I don't really know what it does and I can't seem to find any info on it.
Is there any way for seti(or any of the helper programs) to sense a dialup connection and send and retrieve WU's in the background?
I won't really have ready access to the machine but, if it comes down to it, I guess I could make a visit every 27 days to flush WU's. If that's the only option, it'd be worth it because that would be close to 200 WU's a month :Q
