Oh, I forgot. The new version displays a message when it starts which
explains that there be no screen output unless it is started with the
verbose switch. This should end a lot of confusion for new users 🙂🙂

Do WU completion times vary like they did in 2.7x?
I'm using 3.0 CLI now, and it appears that I'm on pace to complete one in 8 hours. My system spec:
c2 566@901
128MB PC100 2-2-2
abit bf6

I used to use 2.4 CLI, and avg 6:50 to 7 hrs, and WU completion time did not vary as much as they did in 2.7x, and I'm dying to know if 3.0 CLI works like 2.7x. I suppose I can just be patient and run a couple of WUs and find out for myself, but dang it, I want to know!!! 3.0 CLI works with SetiDriver, and that makes me happy.

I'm running my first wu with v3.0 now. So far it's 80.51% done and it's been 5:42:48. Est total time is 7:05:51. This is on a Celery 300a@375mhz. v2.4 took on average 9:12:00.🙂
 
DanStp: Yep, I've had it running all night with SetiSpy 3.0 and SetiDriver. Make sure to get the latest version of SetiSpy!!

Times for WU's on a PIII-700/933 are as follows:

3.351 Hrs 99.31%
4.274 Hrs 99.49%
4.374 Hrs 99.23% Played game of Hero of Might &amp; Magic III while this one was working
4.446 Hrs 99.99% Did a bit of surfing

My last 4 WU's with CLI2.4 was 4.765 hours with very little variation in completion times.

 
Well I've finished my first wu:
6.97hrs🙂

The second is at 71.44% and it estimates 10:31:17 total time.🙁

These times are on a 300a@375mhz. I'm going to put v3.0 on my P3-500e@620mhz as soon as it finishes the wu it's on now.🙂 The rest of the herd will be changed over as soon as time permits.😀

It depends on which client your running now. If your running v2.4 text all you have to do is delete v2.4's exe file and copy the new client to the same directory v2.4 was in and your ready to go.🙂

If your running the gui client then uninstall it first and then create a folder for the new client and just copy the text client to the folder you created and your ready.🙂

Edit: It's not looking good so far with my P3-500e@620mhz. 45% done and estimating 7:28:46 total time. v2.4 would take 5.5-6hrs at the longest.🙁 Which of course it'll take several days worth of wu's before I can get an accurate idea of what my cpu's are going to do on average. I'll just have to wait and see what setiQ says they're all averaging🙂
