Seti sign up question - additional rig

A friend of mine at work decided to help me out by putting Seti Driver on another machine in our office. He copied the Seti Driver settings from my own desk rig including the proxy server. When I looked at the log .csv file it shows he didn't put in my email address. According to my overall stats it looks like I'm getting credit for the additional rig, but I want to make sure by adding my email address.

With an already running client with no email, what is the step by step to do this? Thanks!

If he copied your entire directory of a working SETIDriver setup then the email add should be in there ,also it won't crunch without 1 so I don't quite get what's happening there😕..............nm I just read your post properly!😱
It can't crunch without an email add ,in the SETI 'DOS window' that pops up just choose 'existing account' & enter your email address ,once done then it should grab some WUs🙂

Congrats on the assimilation btw🙂

The log may not show your email, it's probably your SETI ID in the log instead. But rest assured that if someone copied your SETI Driver installation, you'll get the credit for it. You might had wasted some computer cycle since workunits copied are duplicated. I usually delete all numbered subdirectory except for 1, then change the number of cache to the desired number and hit transmit.

After refilling the cache, I then stop SETI Driver, delete subdirectory 1 and rename the highest numbered subdirectory to 1 before restarting the driver.

Actually, since there haven't been an email-address in user_info.sah since 2000 or 2001 due to someone collecting emails this way, there isn't a problem. 🙂

It's just then you makes a new account, or installs without a user-file you must type in the e-mail, but this info is removed then you're done the 1st wu and getting an updated user-file from Berkeley. 😉

Well, don't ask me the correct form to write. 😉 😱

Uhm, I'm probably not much better in writing norwegish either, but maybe I should start around here.

Besides, I guess there's many around here that's got problems with writing colour and aluminium. 🙂 Oh, and having serious problems with how much a billion is. 😉
