So....

Why is it I can download WUs (very slowly) but haven't been able to upload a result for 3+ days? My queue is set to connect during all hours.

The log was showing some type of Berk server error.

I can understand during peak hours, but for 3 days now?

I have been trying to get a queue started at home for the last 3 days and today was the first day it would download WUs. It has been able to upload results in no time, but downloading was a pain. It seems to be working very well right now.

11:06pm: s@h_wrk Sending Result: Failed to send to server shserver2.ssl.berkeley.edu - Temporarily Unavaiable

Is there any off chance server could be blocked, say via corporate? Or, is this really just Berkeley???

IBhacknU - Right after my Comcast@home transition, I suddenly started having the identical problem with my queue. By default, I had the networking set to "WinInetDefault" before the transition and that always worked. I couldn't upload for 3 days and then said what the hell and changed it to "WinSockDirect" (since Ken Reneris noted on his website that this was often more robust). After doing that, it immediately worked.

One of my buddies said it was coincidental, but I had stopped and started the queue I don't know how many times, and even set it for passthrough (it was normally set to upload at 3am EST). Changing that network setting seemed to make the difference for me whether coincidental or not. :)

I have been using OrangeKid's proxy, as the Berkeley server is not working at it's best... I haven't had problems without a single connection for 3 days though, it works sporatic, connection sometimes, sometimes not.. that sounds kinda unlucky to me..

look here for a list of proxies:

well, I am using a proxy to get out of the corporate LAN. Because of that, I can't use one of our team queues.

I can try adjusting the proxy types and see if that works. Everything was working fine before the old 'Q' server died. I thought I had set-up this new queue with all the same settings.

I just find it strange that I can connect one-way and not the other (download vs. upload)
