Once you crunch a wu for the Rebel Alliance you're always a member no matter how many or how few wu's you crunch and I'm proud to have Geoffs as a Rebel Alliance teammate and I don't care how many wu's he crunches or how few. We have members who might do 5 a week if they are lucky and they are just as much a part of the RA as myself or Todd or any of the rest of us.

Does that answer your question ! By the way I didn't realized it would would be such a big deal when I invited Geoffs , who wasn't crunching for any project at the time, to join the RA and crunch some seti for the first time in his DC career
 
Okay. I had no idea who was joining up with the Rebel Alliance, I was just a little confused about the Race Rules. People joining up after a race has started has usually been frowned on in the past.

FWIW, I had no idea that the Federation was going to be doing this race - I found out about it after I'd been joined up for about a week; I've ceased production completely under my own ID for the project and have committed myself completely to the Federation for the remainder of this SETI 1 project - I just wanted to make sure that's the same intention of your new member - if so, then welcome aboard, and the more the merrier! 🙂

I haven't seen any Race Rules posted anywhere but I thought the 2 main reasons for these races was to increase production for the TeAm and to have fun. I don't know how many times I've seen people's production double in these races how do they manage to do that if they aren't adding machines that belong to other people ?

But as I said the main thing is to have fun

My only issue was if someone was joining up temporarily for the race and then leaving after it was done - that was my concern, but if it's a permanent addition, I welcome the competition! 🙂

As for people's stats doubling, I can only address myself. A couple times I've risked being written up at my job to do a temporary assimilation of work PCs on a weekend, but that ain't gonna happen with the economy the way it is. 😉 Other times, I've gonna out and bought additional hardware just to win a race. :Q Yeah, you read that right. Does that raise the "He's nuts!" indicator for anyone? 😀
