The Star-Studded Stellar Cluster Crunch to 2500 celebrates two winners this morning. Crossing the finish line at nearly the same time are Barbary and SoulAssassin, with the Assassin edging out the Brit by a nose, bringing to an end an exciting race for the wire amongst the top three racers in the bracket. Wayne's World put up a gallant fight but just didn't quite have the horsepower to hold off the other two crunch studs at the wire. For SoulAssassin, it was another example of his patented "Queue-Tinkle-Powie!" technique where he sustains an impressive daily dump rate but allows a small number of wu's to be diverted to a queue and stockpiled (the "Queue-Tinkle" part) for a jaw dropping dump when needed (the "Powie!" part) to obliterate an opponent or milestone marker. Having had a day or two off recently, the hottub babes are rested and rarin' to party in the victory lounge. So grab a brewski, hop into the hottub and be prepared to enjoy the most titillating physics lecture you've ever heard. Congratulations, SoulAssassin and Barbary!
Mr. Smilie and Mr. Shockie made their rounds in today's thread, distributing happy Happies and shocked Shockies liberally throughout the ranks. Major Tom is starting to make me mighty nervous in the Race to Catch the Race Coordinator, as he delivers a 100+ load of busted up packets to Berkeley's front doorstep. I think it's time for me to start assembling the aft blast shield. LANMAN's at it again in The Great 10K CountDown, employing his own version of SoulAssassin's "Queue-Tinkle-Powie!" technique, only his "Powie!" is a lot bigger than SoulAssassin's on this day, let me tell you! Ejecting 283 wu's from the wu dispenser, LANMAN pulls himself to within 200 wu's of the Holy Grail. That's only one "Powie!" from paydirt and worthy of a double shockie. Also earning a shockie in the same bracket is Mihai who finds himself on the other side of 100 with a 131 wu power purge.
And the ladies in the crowd at trackside in Gimme that 6th K-Key! The Race to 6000 sing in unison, "Won't you take me to.... Funky Toooooooowwwwwwn?!?!". MoFunk exercises his dump muscles this morning big time, expunging 87 workunits from the wu chute with a grunt, a groan, and a "Tally-Ho!!!". The monster mash causes a small look of concern to cross the face of Mighty Micron as he feels the rumble from the wu avalanche leaving Funk's fleet from his position nearly 800 wu's ahead. Also earning a gaper this morning is LiveLongAndProsper who dumps a major load on the track in two races, the Race to 8000 and the Race to 9000. Assaulting the rear positions in both brackets, LL&P would appear to be back in tip-top dumping shape, an observation to which his 90 would attest. And a run-down of Mr. Shockie awards would not be complete without calling attention to the Lonely Racer's bracket where Jumpin' Jehosephats IJump terrorizes his fellow bracket dwellers with a powerful purge consisting of 547 workunits. Three jaw droppers coming your way, IJump!
