Even though Droolie crosses the finish line a day after the blazing crt1530, he still earns victory kudos and a little face time on the SRL Wall of Fame because 8000 is quite a milestone regardless of when it's breached. Washing a big time 91 across the marker, taking out the babe waving the checkered flag and swamping the awards stand at the same time, the Slobber Guy will have to swim through the dribble in order to find his eighth K-Key. Seeing the environment in which Droolie is used to operating, perhaps a hottub filled with nice dry towels would be a little more appropriate than warm water. Either way, the babes will still be there to offer up their congrats and some stimulating conversation on the latest trends in brain surgery and orbital mechanics. It seems that someone left an isotopic phase-reversal injector nozzle adjustment wrench in one of the USS Poop's secondary plasma conduits. And everybody knows what happens when an isotopic phase-reversal injector nozzle adjustment wrench has it's phase shielding break down whilst floating in the middle of a highly cohesive plasma stream. It ain't a pretty sight, and the term "cohesive" can no longer be applied to the plasma stream in which it is floating. The unfortunate oversight by one of Captain Poopsie's engineering crew dropped the ship out of trans-warp for a number of days and has had the Galaxy class cruiser sputtering around at less than a 20 parsec per day clip. Poopsie's misfortune may turn out to be Captain Scott's salvation on their race to the abandoned FarPoint outpost at sector 16k. Taking full advantage of the situation, the USS Guid has closed to within 189 parsecs of the USS Poop, a distance that was greater than 300 parsecs only a bit over a week ago.
"Fear me!", says networkman as he remains above the 70 wu per day mark for another day. He has now amassed 247 wu's on the positive side of the hash mark in The Mid-Major Crunch to 2500 with a Handicapped NWM and is closing in steadily on SoulAssassin who has the unfortunate task of attempting to keep NWM at the rear of the pack. At the opposite end of the pack, the defster has opened up an 80 wu lead, but conjur is beatin' feet through the noxious exhaust fumes emitting from the El Camino's dual exhaust. That 80 wu lead could evaporate in a hurry if conjur can maintain his current 60-plus pace. Another battle is raging in the middle of the pack with Crazee only 11 wu's behind Yield and two racers back soni, the stats master himself, is making a serious move on the USS Poop for fifth place.
For the second day in a row, the Tofter / Volders dance a little synchronized jig with Fardringle at the front of the pack racing to crunch 1000 with a Crazee twist. Tied at 547, the pair have been tossing spent wu cartridges in each other's paths and making horrible faces at each other in an attempt to disrupt their opponent's crunching concentration. What this boils down to is an exciting version of "Hell on Wu's" for the rest of us to watch. The Migrooster dumps a wooly mammoth 45, causing disturbances in each of the three contests he is participating in and m2kewl has narrowed Crabby's lead to 1020 in their Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000. m2kewl needs to keep the average up because the Crustacean turns in an impressive 17 and is not going to roll over and let Kewl tickle his belly without snapping off a finger or two with his scary foreclaws.
