The battle rages on to the 12,000 wu milestone between the Sheriff and the defster. Last night the Sheriff called in reinforcements to the tune of a dual Celery to try and toss a few tacks in the El Camino's way. The rogue racer's silence is as ominous as the calm before the storm, when one doesn't know whether to gather up the family and head to the basement, or to put everyone in the car and head for mom's house. But then again, the Sheriff could just pull out the ol' six-guns and shoot the El Camino's tires out. With less than a century spot separating these two heavy-duty producers and nearly 1500 wu's to go, there's plenty of time for the fireworks that are bound to happen in this crunch-fest.
"Woof! Woof!" After a number of days below the 100 wu mark, the BigDawg paws his way on top of ten tens for the second day in a row. This is a good sign for dawg lovers everywhere. Rather disconcerting for connoisseurs of jumping acumen is the sub-par 42 from the Jumping Bean that follows several runs of personal highs in previous days. Hopefully it's nothing more than a stuck queue in IJumps impressive fleet. The May Mauling sees two position reversals in the last two days as Big Ish takes over the number two spot from Pyxis and nemur hands tail-end Charlie duties over to Maggotry. At the head of the bracket, bbarnes maintains a comfortable lead over the rest of the pack, keeping his production high and his eyes on the prize.
In the Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist, Mad Max is only four wu's from grabbing the trophy and earning a little more face-time on the SRL Wall of Fame. Unless Fardy and Crazee have a few wu's locked up for a huge dump, the race will be for second place. Crazee is quite a story, the man who began the race with a 1000 wu penalty has fought through the pack to be right in the thick of things at the end, despite the souped-up production from his competitors. Sitting in the fourth position and winding up the rubber bands for a huge push is the team of Great Danes, parked momentarily on the 867 mark although it will take a tremendous burst from Team Tofter / Volder to place in the top three. Perhaps the most intriguing matchup in this race is the log-jam of five crunchers in the 640-680 range. This Fab Five should provide us a memorable show as the remaining racers vie for follow-up prizes.
Minendo and Freewolf continue to duke it out at the top of The M & M Boys & Some Others Race to Crunch 1000 with Innuendo Minendo extending his lead over the Liberated Predatory Canid by a three spot after his huge dump yesterday. The lead now stands at 61 but with the race barely half over, there's still plenty of time for a comeback. The Crab and the migrooster are waging quite a battle for the third position as well with only four workunits separating the pair. And a big congrats to our six SRL race participants who crossed milestone markers overnight.
