In what amounts to a stunner, Captain Scott masterfully commanded his Crusher class science vessel, the USS Guid, to a brilliant victory over a crippled USS Poop who unfortunately looks as though will be spending a few weeks in space dock for a complete poop core overhaul. Captain Scott's magnificent in-flight engineering enhancements to the exploration and research vessel increased the Guid's rate of speed from the low 30 parsec per day range to well over 50 parsecs per day by the race's end. Just for the ocassion, Starfleet dispatched a pleasure crew to the abandoned Farpoint outpost to rennovate one of the sonic hottubs in the Federation officer's club and imported a little contraband Romulan Ale as spoils for the race victor. I've also heard that there may be a couple of green-skinned Rigellian contortionist babes waiting to join you in the sonic tub for a little victory celebration. Congratulations, Captain Scott, and to you as well [/b]Captain Skoopa[/b]!
The enourmous Alaskan King Crab side-steps across the finish line in the Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000, snips the race tape with one of his fore-claws, then spins around three times, turns towards his competitor and snaps his foreclaws emphatically in his direction in what amounts to a Crab Mambo to celebrate a rousing victory for all crustaceans the world over. Hey! No pinching the race babes with your foreclaws, Crabby! Anyway, impressive was the crustacean to say the least. When this race began, ElFenix was the undercrab, given little chance at victory by the SRL race handicappers. But the stunned race crowd watched in awe as Elfie added one, then two, then 8 or 9 more wu's to his daily total, culminating in a daily average in the mid to high teens by the race's end. The result was a glorious victory, another K-Key added to the keyring, and a reprieve from the chef's boiling pot. Congratulations, Elfenix! And kudos to m2kewl for the valiant effort!
Sheriff Zod is saddled up and riding with a passion in his race to 12,000 with the rogue racer in the El Camino. Continuing to add to his lead which now stands at 164, Zappin Zod is making it awfully difficult for the defster to mount a challenge. But certainly don't count the Def One out this early. I'm sure he's got a few tricks, and at least one bottle of nitrous, up his sleave. The remaining racers in the Race to 10,000, lane42 and GreatWhiteNorth, keep beatin' feet towards that lofty 10K goal. This morning dawns on lane42 standing defiantly over a pile of 50 smoldering workunits to land 325 wu's from pay dirt. The The Great 10K CountDown sees a lead change after only one day into the race. Soul Assassin knocks around a big-time 78 workunits to blast past ZeroEffect and into the lead by 23.
