Big-time-ultra-kudo-congratuiliations go out this morning to Zappin' Zod, AKA the Sheriff of Labville, who becomes the 42nd Team AnandTecher to reach the Holy Grail of milestones at 10K after finding an open lane on Berkeley Bandwither Boulevard to dump his stash of 107 workunits in the Race to 10,000. It's always a monumentously monumental occasion when a fellow teamer sheds the dead dry coating of four digits and metamorphs into that glorious bird carried aloft on the wings of five digits. That's ten K-Keys on the keyring, the last of which will open the 10K lounge where we have the special 10K hottub shrine with the gold-leaf fru-frus around the rim filled with special waters tenderly gathered from a sacred spring in the enchanted forests of Lichtenstein. There's also some extra-special Budweiser in the double-wide 10K fridge and waiting by the tub are the extra special ladies who have to go through rigorous testing to become one of the esteemed 10K hottub babes. Yes, these fine ladies are not only well versed in particle physics and cold-fusion theory, they know just about everything there is to know about quantum computing and have their factored qubits and linear ion traps in just the right places. So settle into the victory hottub, enjoy a Bud (or three) and some enlightened conversation with our geek girls. Congratulations, Zodder.
The bursting forth of wu's and packets has created a log-jam at the top of the Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist amongst the top three racers. Mad Max purges 41 to maintain the lead but is trumped by both the Tofters and Volders who bust a behemoth 83, and Fardy whose 48 closes ranks, making the gap netween one and three a tiny 27. Smilies flow freely for the remaining racers in that bracket as well, but Crazee still trails by a large margin and must certainly be feeling pangs of uncertainty after seeing the performance from the top three racers. Innuendo Minedo unceremoniously snatches the lead back away from Freewolf in The M & M Boys & Some Others Race to Crunch 1000 with 42 packets cracked and smilies are awarded to Crabby and the migrooster for their valiant dumping efforts. Unfortunately for ElFenix, migroo is knocking at the back door, only one away from taking back the number three spot.
Following many days of being trampled and stomped in the daily charts by the Big Dawg, IJump comes roaring back with a purgilicious 230. The mega-munch should serve notice to Woofs that he's not going to take this laying down. M2kewl tosses 106 down the recently cleaned wu pipe, but Crabby is snapping his foreclaws furiously as his 22 brings him within about four days of the checkered flag in the Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000. The Sinister Oscillator wobbles 82 workunits towards Berkeley's Sapce Sciences Laboratory, bringing his fleet to within two measley wu's of overtaking the British Bulldog tag-team tandem with barelu less than 300 wu's left to go in their Race to 5000. And bbarnes leads the pack in the May Mauling to 3500 with 35 while Pyxis, Ishmael2k, and nemur earn smiley awards for their purgements.
