Major League Baseball has their "contraction" talks. Here in the SRL, we have our "constriction" talks. Berkeley bandwither problems are still affecting many racer's numbers as we all wait for that 100MB thoroughfare to open up.
Going first to our drag races where the action remains hot and heavy, Innuendo Minendo fires an impressive 26 workunits through the ever shrinking 'puter pipe to recapture the lead by five from Freewolf. What a see-saw, back-and-forth, battle these two are waging at the front of the pack in The M & M Boys & Some Others Race to Crunch 1000. The first five positions in this race remain highly competitive with only 57 cracked packets separating the quintet. Unfortunately for neovan, he hasn't seemed to be able to get untracked and the current bandwither problems are obviously not helping his cause. But, he can take consolation in the fact that there is still a long way to go in this marathon crunch fest.
Another placement switcheroo takes place at the top of the Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist with Mad Max stuffing 30 workunits into his wu bag and smuggling them right to the front of the pack, leaving both Fardy and the Tofters and Volders choking in a blue cloud of noxious exhaust gases. Lest the Crunchin' Canadian get too comfortable in that lead position, both Fardy and Toft / Vold - DK remain within spitting distance with the Ute only eight workunits back and the Great Danes only nine wu's further than that. Perhaps a dark horse in the maelstrom of munchers runs in the eighth spot after passing the stationary migrooster. Quietly, the Evader has begun to sneak forward, his daily averages now consistently above the twenty wu mark. Micron had best keep one eye on the rear-view mirror.
Only a powerful surge of 36 workunits keeps SoulAssassin from being relegated tail-end Charlie duties in the The Mid-Major Crunch to 2500 with a Handicapped NWM as NWM appears poised to begin knocking racers off the road on his way towards the front of the pack where conjur used yesterday to pound a few more lumps on top of the defster's head. With his deficit now sitting at an even 50, the rogue racer in the El Camino has a bit more to worry about as riding mercilessly on his bumper is Yield, whose impressive 56 during yesterday's crunching was second only to the muscle flexing 61 turned in by networkman. The impressive surge by the unyielding Yield leaves him a scant 13 workunits from knocking the defster down another peg.
