Spring? I thought this was spring? What's this "winter storm warning with three to five inches of snow expected by evening" crap?!? :disgust:
No race winners this morning but at least two racers are getting close to paydirt and the ultimate reward of a little sody pop and some theoretical discussions regarding the Uncertainty Principle and how it ultimately affects our understanding of Einstein's general theory of relativity with our race babes whilst relaxing in the winner's hottub. Those getting close to being able to partake of such rewarding converstations with our learned, bikini-clad scholars are the Jeeper from KC as he pulls extremely close to Rewardsville in the Race to 3000 and ZeroEffect who is perhaps another day or two from victory in Another Race to 8000. Stay tuned as these two warriors pursue their next milestone trophies.
Zappin' Zod keeps both hands on the wheel and both eyes fixed on the road ahead. The old and battered road sign coming into view reads "10K Holy Grail - 813 wu's ahead". As a smile creases the Sheriff's dust covered face and a bead of perspiration begins a journey down his forehead, mixing with the hot, dry dust the long and lonely race has left covering everything in sight, a sudden uneasiness fills his heart. And for good reason. Having not seen hide nor hare of anyone on this arduous journey for miles and miles, he had nearly come to believe he was truly alone in his quest for glory. The stabbing realization that the defster, one of the most notorious and battle-tested racers to ever crack open a workunit, is still in hot pursuit is enough to snap Zod out of his dilerium. What was that? Was it the ominous rumble of thunder? A glance in the rear view mirror dispells that notion, for rising high into the air is a cloud of dust. No, not one of the hundreds of twisting dust devils that continualy spiral their way through the desert oft unseen by human eyes, but large, billowy plumes of dust streaking towards the heavens. Dust being tossed high into the air, unceremoniously awakened from their deep desert slumber, displaced by the tires of a machine, a machine piloted by the rogue racer himself. The race is not yet won. The defster is still in pursuit.
