Two race winners cross the finish line this morning in their respective brackets and earn a little ride on the Seti Racing League Wall of Fame. First to the Race to 3000 where conjur finishes casting a spell on his competition, soaring across the finish line ahead of KCJeeper and winning his third gilded K-Key. KCJeeper asked for a challenge before this race began, and conjur provided just that. Early on, it looked as though KC may run away with the goods in this one, but utilizing careful assimilations and at times wreckless wu whacking, the man from Louisville, KY, gained the upper hand only weeks ago and never relinquished that advantage. Congratulations, conjur! Enjoy your little respite in the hot tub with the race babes in the winner's lounge.
Also earning a little face time this morning is the king of crunching carnage, Karsten as he takes the checkered flag in the March March to 2000. This is really an amazing story, a story of a cruncher who accepted a challenge to the 2K milestone, even though he had yet to reach 1K. Karsten began way back in the pack, with one less digit than his racing partners. Through perserverence, patience, and sheer will and determination, Karsten showed his fellow teammates what he's made of, and he's definitely made of the right stuff, the stuff that causes women to swoon and grown men less practiced in the art of wu smack to weep. Congratulations, Karsten! Right this way to the 2K hottub.
A new race graces the race thread this morning, allowing us to welcome back a familiar face to the morning circuit, along with several recycled racers who were earning a living in the Lonely Racers bracket, and a brand spanking new rookie to the Seti Racing League. Five pugilists team up in a new battle dubbed the May Mauling to 2500. The rookie, bbarnes has been itching to strut his stuff in competition and he'll now have a chance to show the Seti racing world what he's got as he pops into the lead position, afforded the advantage of a 200 wu stagger. Behind him and happy to be back on the active circuit is Pyxis, followed closely by Ishmael2k whose party time with the hottub babes was cut short by the challenge following his victory at 2K yesterday. In the fourth position at the bell is our good friend Maggottry who rejoins the racing circuit after a short time away. And bringing up the rear is nemur, who begins the race steaming hot, besting all of his competitors out of the gate. Good luck, gentlemen!
Zappin' Zod has opened up a 240 wu lead over the defster in their race to the 10K Holy Grail, but it appears as though the rogue racer in the El Camino is showing signs of life once again, matching the Sheriff wu for wu with 44. But perhaps a real threat is being mounted from the third position as lane42 pops a neat century plus 13 into the wu receptacle to close to within 40 wu's of def. m2kewl methodically chops away the distance between himself and ElFenix in the Kewl and Crabby Race to 6000, but the last two days have allowed us to witness impressive purges from the Alaskan King Crab. Meanwhile, Admiral Engineer and the Federation hit 70-plus in their quest to crunch 3000 ahead of Major Tom and the pack remains tight in the Race to Crunch 1000 with a Crazee Twist with tuffguy threatening to run away with the contest as he is nearly able to keep up with the Crazee Dude.
