Two days after Rowdy Ray and the TWTA bus rumbled across the finish line in the Race to 5000, Orange Kid trundles across, earning his entrance into the exclusive 5K club. Seeing that Rowdy Ray and his cohorts were still in the hottub following their victory two days earlier, OK turned on the cold water, forcing the TWTA group to hop out of the tub in a hurry. Congratulations, Orange Kid on hitting 5000! That's quite an achievement and thanks for all you do for Team Anandtech!
Titan JW has officially turned what was once a close race into a complete rout in the Clash of the Titans. Were it not for Titan Soni's power problems, Titan Hacks flu problems, and Bazilla stubbing his toe on Cleveland, this could have been a real white-knuckler. Even so, JW's consistently high production has been quite impressive to say the least, and he wears the Titan moniker quite well.
Despite the shorter stats day, Lane42 and ZeroEffect both dump mightily with Lane42 topping 40 and extending his lead over Moe to 161. In the Race to Catch def, Zappin' Zod continues to flash the hardware, yesterday kicking a little sand in the Crunchin' Canadian's face as Mad Max has now been relegated to fourth position duties. The Race to 4000 between the former def chaser cakin and the shifty Cardassian Gul Dukat has another entry. The rookie who took the SRL by storm in the Great Race to 2500 has decided to put his championship title on the line in the Race to 4000. Hopping into the fray in last position to a standing ovation from the crowd, GWN needs to turn it up just like he did in the Great Race if he hopes to capture another title.
The action-packed Quickie to 3000 continues to see a lot of jostling in the middle of the pack. Today dawns with Ai3x now in the fourth position after passing Baldy18 who is looking mighty constipated at the moment. Just as a precaution, and a wise one at that, Ai3x has raised his blast shield and it would behoove all other racers in Baldy's vicinity to do so as well. Mucman continues to cruise with the lead in the Race to 3000 while IceCream and sparks begin to close from behind. In the Race to 2500, DroolMAN! has slobbered his way into the number one spot and is legging out the last 100 wu's to the checkered flag while behind him, PhotoLenny and Electrode are wrapped up in a dandy duel to see who can follow Droolie across the line.
Commander Tarca still has the P4 farm raising wu's, harvesting 44 on a shortened stats day and Swanny is sittin' in the cat bird's seat in the Race to 2000 with 50 wu's to go and a 101 wu lead over the British Bulldog. Pabster continues to be impressive at the rear of the pack as he smashes out 19. The Battle Royale to 1500 is definitely living up to all the pre-race hype! It can't get much more exciting than this, with all three racers battling it out tooth and nail. This morning sees Daz's lead down to 24 over JimMc and serialb is beatin' feet only 5 wu's behind him. Can the Dazzler hold off the intrepid charges of his two pursuers?
The Race to 1250 has a new leader as Muadib reluctantly surrenders the lead spot to Clueless. Muadib has been impressively tenacious in his first SRL encounter, but Clueless just has too much horsepower under the hood. 78 workunits from victory in the Race to 1100, Logix has the rigs running on cruise control as Bunker and Ishmael2k jockey for position behind him. And finally today, another action-packed racing venue is the Race to 750. Now only 24 wu's behind Boog, Hoob cracks 10 to tighten the ranks at the top while Woof, understanding that he has to catch JetsFanatic before he can catch anybody else, has set his sites squarely on JF's rear running 60 wu's ahead.
