The thrilling Race to 2000 comes to a close this morning with JimMc continuing his powerful recent run, yesterday crushing twenty wu's to steam across the finish line 14 wu's in front of DarkMajiq and 24 in front of serialb. Once again, the terrific trio has left the crowd on their feet, roaring their approval and screaming for more. This race saw the lead change no fewer than six times and twice saw a lead racer fall to the back of the pack, only to power his way back into the lead later in the battle. Some of the most incredible racing in the entire history of the SRL has taken place amongst these three combatants and two of them earn their second K-Keys this morning and the third will follow them to the 2K hottub tomorrow. Congratulations to all three racers and thanks for a sensational contest!
We've a dandy brewing in the Race to Crunch 3000 with the moxy Biloxi Bomber showing that his little army of storm troopers is not going to go quietly. Marching off 107 wu's yesterday, Smokie enjoys a day in the century club where very few AnandTechers dare tread. Unfortunately, Captain Izzy clicks off three more than Captain Smoke to extend his lead a little further. Should the Hawaiian maintain his century plus pace, the little army of rag-tag crunchers may find it a bit difficult to keep up, but for the time being at least, they're hanging in there impressively.
The defster tops twenty again displaying to the race world that the old El Camino still has some horses under the hood. While it may not be enough to catch Rowdy Ray and TWTA or Sheriff Zod in the Race to 7000, it just might be enough to hold off ZeroEffect and Admiral Engineer long enough to cross the 7000 wu marker. DroolMAN! continues to water the track in the Race to 6000 from the rear of the pack, yesterday watching 54 wu's ooze their way towards Berkeley. Slahr Dzhe, currently running in the third position, was seen donning his rain gear in preparation of being passed by the Slobber Guy who is now cruising only 70 wu's to the rear.
The Race to 5000 is turning into a real lallapaloozer as well. GreatWhiteNorth crumples up 39 to shorten Fardy's lead to 65, despite the Ute's recent stellar throughput. Meanwhile, towards the rear of the pack, everybody's favorite Cardassian Gul Dukat has finally dealt cakin a little revenge for embarassing the Cardy in their previous race as he passes the misplaced Texan to take over third place. cakin had best watch out for some newly planted corbomite mines in his path because Cardassians don't hold fast to the rule of forgive and forget.
Ledzepp98 nears forty, ending his sub-twenty trend in the Battle to 4000 and Eltano1 is cruising in style with his newly assimilated minions performing impressively in the YART 1500. Evadman turns a few heads with an impressive run of thirteen but it may be a little too late to affect the outcome of this race between the three E-migos. KCJeeper lands just three wu's from pay dirt after stepping all over thirty big wu's yesterday in the Race to 1500 and the Spoiled Digit follows suit one race down in the Race to 1000, crushing 16 to fall just four wu's short of gaining entry into the 1K GooberSmoocher's club. Finally today, everyone stares in awe at IndyJaws, the farmer from Indiana who's never ending harvest just keeps yielding more crops with each passing day. Yesterday saw him load up 171 workunits into his truck and drive them all the way to the Berkeley market.
Advancements among racers on 1/9 include KCJeeper up 3 to 180, crt1530 up 2 to 81, Bleep up 2 to 262. Advancements are a bit screwed up because of the return of The_One and DarkOne knocking everybody down a couple of pegs. 🙂
